LEGAL SYSTEM
I want to have a strong focal point for my practice, but I don’t want to flood an already overflowing area of the legal system. You would think that with all of the car accidents in the state of California that there couldn’t be enough auto accident attorneys, but a quick glance through the phone book in this county alone will tell you different. It seems like every practice there is in this section of the country is, or has at least one attorney on staff who is, a specialist in lawsuits involving automobile accidents. I don’t want to be one of those guys you see chasing ambulances away from accident scenes, or roaming the halls of the hospital looking for clients who got rear ended at a stop light. I went through law school and studied hard to pass the bar to help people, not to fight over a fender bender or to try and beat the super store out of money after a slip and fall in aisle seven. The problem is, that there isn’t any money in being a good hearted lawyer that stands up for the people. Law school was expensive, I’m in a situation where I have to start making some money – I might be forced to take on less appealing but more lucrative cases until my loans are paid back, then I’ll focus my practice on something that is important to me.
